Trying to find any relatives of Ellen Mallaby who was baptised in 1808 in Liverpool. She married a Samuel Smith in 1837 (he was said to be a Jeweller on the marriage certificate). They had five children to my knowledge: Elizabeth (known as Bethia/Betsey) baptised 1841 and married Joseph Witherup in 1869. Charlotte - born c 1844 and married Benjamin Greaves in 1868. James Ellen Samuel (jnr) (these were born sometime after 1841) There may have also been a Joseph Mallaby Smith who died young born 1842. Ellen Mallaby also had a sister Elizabeth (who died a spinster). Their parents were Joseph Mallaby and Jane Carr. Joseph may possibly have been from Yorkshire. Any information about the Mallaby side or the Smith sides. |
