Grant Report 18 Feb 2004 13:35

Hi there, I am researching the family and descendants of John Macfarlane, a Fisherman, and Jannet Mackinven, who were living at Baluachrach,Tarbert, Loch Fyne, Argyll, Scotland in 1841. My gg aunt Mary Leitch(1831-1920) married a son of John Macfarlane. Mary Leitch married Malcolm Macfarlane(1829-1898)on the 19th of November, 1853 at Tarbert, Loch Fyne, Argyll. Malcolm was also a Fisherman. The couple had a large family of ten children. Their names were, in order of birth, John, Duncan, Donald, Catherine, Jennat, Eliza,Neil, Archibald, and Mary. All these children were born between 1852 and 1874. All the children were born at Tarbert, Loch Fyne. Malcolm and Mary lived at Craigdon Cottage, Tarbert from the 1890's onwards.
