Hi I am trying to find ancestors of Isaac Buckley, who was born in Heywood in 184?. He married my great grandmother Mary Galligan (CONFUSION OVER NAME) It states that Mary was born in Ireland. My Grandfather was called Gallagher! They lived in Heywood and are on the 1871 census with Isaac Buckley as a boarder. Then in 1881 they are living in Oldham as man and wife. With the children of Mary down as STEP children and then the addition of a young son Thomas he was born 1876. I can find no record of the marriage of Mary & Isaac. I wonder if there are any living relatives who recogniise this family. I would be very grateful for any leads. Granddad's oldest sister was Alice then a Mary and a Hannah. There was no father mentioned on birth certifice of my granddad. Agnes |
