I now have my granfathers (JOHN EDWIN PAINTER) Birth certificate, He was born in Woodhouse, Normanton, Nr Wakefield Yorkshire, on the 23/12/1878 to a Mary Ann Painter (formerly MORRIS) but there is no one named as his father !!!! I am now looking for a Marriage of Mary Ann Morris and a ? PAINTER. Can anyone help Please. Barbara

Photo of Lea Cottages, Wentworth, South Yorks.----it was home to my Maternal grandparents and their 11 children for many years--the ROBINSON's from Wentworth--also reseaching HOBSON, Rotherham and Sheffield area -- TERRY's from South Milford--PAINTER's from Wakefield,West Yorks area and Swinton / Mexborough South Yorks. SHILLITO from Wombwell South Yorks
