Find Ancestors

I AM TRYING TO FIND RELATIVES OF MY FATHERS. HE WAS BORN WILLIAM RONALD THISTLETHWAITE, D.O.B. 25/05/1916. IDONT HAVE MUCH INFORMATION EXEPT HE HAD A BROTHER CALLED ANDREW,AND SISTERS NELLIE AND EDNA. HE HAD ANOTHER SISTER WHOSE NAME I DO NOT KNOW. SHE EMIGRATED TO AUSTRALIA WITH HER FAMILY IN THE SIXTIES I THINK. UNFORTUNATELY I DON'T REMEMBER THIS AS I WAS BORN IN 1962. MY FATHER WAS BROUGHT UP IN THE ATTERCLIFFE AREA OF SHEFFIELD. HE MARRIED MY MUM ANNIE, AND THEY HAD FOUR CHILDREN - RITA D.O.B. 07/03/1939 ,- BILLY D.O.B. 30/09/1947,- RENEE D.O.B. 19/03/1956,- AND ME LINDA D.O.B. 28/02/1962. I WOULD BE GRATEFUL FOR ANY INFORMATION REGARDING MY FATHER AND POSSIBLY GRANPARENTS, I DONT THINK THEY ORIGINALLY CAME FROM SHEFFIELD

Idont know if it is the same family but my father richard thistlethwaite lived in attercliffe and was a bookies runner in darnall he did have sisters called nellie and edna.I dont know much about the family but my father married elizabeth irons.In sheffield We lived on the shiregreen during the war and after moved to the manor he also had acousin andrew thistlethwaite and a brother I believe was tommy

My name is Russell my Grandfather was called george thistlethwaite he had sisters called Edna, Edith and Nellie and brothers that i am working on to link them all together edith emigrated to Australia it sounds like we are related i have just posted my family tree on to the site but still needs alot of tweeking.

Just to let any helpers on here know that I spotted a bit of info which has allowed me to narrow down the area that Linda might be living in.

Well I know that my pm was opened quite soon after I sent it. I didn't have to bother myself to go surfing and spend time looking for the info which could help. It would have been nice to have received a thank you though.

This is one of those posts where you help and wonder if you should bother next time.
