Trying to trace ancestry of my step father, Ralph Sidney Smith, born in Secunderabad, India 23/03/1890?)' His father was sent out to India as the official coffin maker for the British Army circa 1870 - relalted to the family of box makers in Lambeth Walk, South East London with vault in St Mary's Church just outside Lambeth Palace. Ralph, known as Cutty, had several brothers, one called Walter, and sisters, Maud, Caroline and Harriet (last two were half sisters as their mother remarried a man called Burton after her first husband died). Maud married Alan Brown and eventually settled in Australia with several of her children and Walter I believe settled in Harrogate, UK. Any information greatly appreciated.
