My great-grandfather, JOHN JONES, was born c. 1823 in Shropshire. He married HARRIETT ROBERTS, born c. 1824 in Flintshire, Wales. They eventually. moved to Wolverton, Bucks and produced several children: GRACE ELLEN, AMELIA, ALBERT ERNEST, and WILLIAM STANDALE. The first-born, Grace, became my grandmother, but due to a family feud I never knew her or had any information about her siblings. I know that Amelia married a man called HENRY GAMBLE, but all trace of them has been lost. I would be delighted to know if anyone has knowledge of either ALBERT ERNEST JONES, or WILLIAM STANDALE JONES, who were aged 13 and 10, respectively in 1881. Perhaps when they grew up, they remained in Wolverton area, or may have drifted towards London, where their sister, Grace had set up home in Dulwich. It is their grandchildren or great-grandchildren I am seeking. If any of the above history or names ring a bell with readers, please, please, contact me. Thank you for your interest. |
