Am trying to trace a William (Bill) Smith known as Fudge born probably in the Hackney/Shoreditch area circa 1920. He was a step brother to Jesse Smith who would love to know what happened to him. I have been told, but some of this is a bit hazy due to the age of the informant, that he was called Fudge as there was another Bill already in the family, he married a girl from Leicester and they had twins, girl and boy. They would probably be early 60s now. I believe Fudges father was called Jim/James and he 'married' Eliza Smith formerly Jennings nee Dove- date unknown for this. This is a complicated family due to the number of multiple marriages but if anyone can shed any light on this I would be grateful. Simone |
