Hi. My grandfather was Charles Davies and he was born in County Kerry in 1904 where his father was postedwith the Army. His parents names were Charles and Ellen (nee Barry). He ran away from home at 14. He lived in the North of England and had some children with his wife but there was apparantly some dispute over parentage! He left here but never divorced and lived with my Grandmother Gladys Howey in Birmingham. It was only after her death we found out they weren't actully married. Both families lost contact with Gladys and Charles although Gladys had a brother called Walter who married a Nancy? Any info gratefully received. |
