WILLIAM BROWN (c.1845 ?). I am trying to trace William Brown, the father of JAMES BROWN who was born in HULL, E. Yorkshire in 1875. James married a MARIA HOY c.1899. The marriage certificate gives James' father's name as William and his trade as Fruit merchant. James & Maria went on to have 5 children. James died in Hull in September 1920. Information on James is very sparse so I don't know if he had any brothers or sisters or even if his parents were born in Hull. This would have helped to identify his parents. This search has been ongoing for a long time so any information or helpful suggestions would be gratefully received |
