i am reserching my grannys family tree her name lily beare (nee smith) she was born in 1915 in carnforth lancaster, she has a sister margaret not sure if her surname was smith or stobbart after her father also has a brother although not sure of his name. my grannys mother was elizabeth smith born 1894 and died 1924 when she was 30, my grannys father was william stobbart dont know much about him apart from he lived in workington, cumbria and my grannys sister and brother lived with him. my grannys grandmother was margaret ann smith (nee craig) and she lived at 5 grosvenor place carnforth with her brother joshep craig and her husband richard james smith who was an engine storker at carnforth railway station and 2 other children isabella and thomas smith. i also know my grannys uncle frank was injured in dunkirk. ring any bells |
