Hi I am trying to find details of my great grandfather Frederick Davies. His son Bernard Davies, (b.1923, Monmouth), is my grandfather. I know Frederick was a soldier stationed in Monmouth around 1922/23 but our family have very few details about him as my grandad never met him - one thing he does know is that he was a middleweight boxer in the army (Quite a good one I think!) My Grandfather is unsure as to whether my g.grandma Winifred (nee.Gleed b. Monmouth c.1890) married him or not, she was known as Grandma Davies, but I can find no record of her ever marrying. I know its a long shot due to the lack of info but if anyone could help it would be appreciated! Thanks Becky |
