ALLISON, John - shipwright. SEARCHING DATE OF DEATH. Born 1797 Monkwearmouth Shore. Married Ann ROBERTS 1824, Monkwearmouth. John's Father George, and Mother Margaret AINSLEY. John died before 1852, according to Ann's death certificate. Children - George, Robert Roberts, jane, William and John. Thank You.

I wonder if your John Allison was somehow connected to my James ALLISON, also born in Monkwearmouth, in 1796.

I have no evidence to this effect but this looks like a big coincidence. See http://members.cox.net/ghgraham/jamesallison.html for the gen on James Allison and his descendants.
