Hi, I'm looking for any information anyone might have on what I suppose are the London Doggetts. I have some limited info (very patchy!) going back to Thomas Doggett (1746-1792) of Huntingdon (Cambs). However, I'd really like to establish a link between my family, and a very distant ancestor; Sir. Thomas Doggett, the famous 18th Century actor who founded the Doggett Coat and Badge race for the Thames Watermen. I'd be really grateful for any information, as I'm almost at my wits' end! |

My maternal grandfather was Thomas Doggett born 1869 Marylebone his father was also Thomas Doggett born 1836/37 Marylebone. His father was Richard Doggett born 1813/4 Covent Garden. His father is believed to be John Doggett. Any connection? |
