I am looking for WILLIAM HENRY HUGHES he was born in 1899 in West Ham - his mother was FRANCES MONK and father WILLIAM HUGHES - there was quite a few children maybe 8-10 (again not sure) my granddad one of the youngest was brought up in DR BARNADOS with the other youngest children when his mother (Frances) died in childbirth. He went on to marry KATE CUNNEW - my grandfather talked about 4 of his brothers and sisters - one called ALF HUGHES who married ANNIE - they had two children a boy and a girl and lived near the football ground in Romford. A sister called VIOLET HUGHES who also named her daughter VIOLET she married SID ? also a brother called TITCH not sure of his real name - his wifes name we think was EDITH and one of the daughters was called MARGARET - they moved from Leytonstone to Dunmow nr Chelmsford Essex - he used to be a chimney sweep but then took up thatching roofs - If this sounds familiar please get in touch Chris.
