I have done a lot of research into a very unique surname. I have over a hundred Windless's that I have fornd in my search, many from the Hampshire area. I am sure many of them must connect with my tree as there are a lot of names that appear to be family names, passed from one generation to the next. All I need are some clues as to where they slot in. Any information would be most gratefully received. Some of the names go back to 1790. I may be able to help with your search too. Please contact me. Happy searching, Claire.

My Fathers Mother was a Windless, They lived in the Hampshire area. Her name was Louise Francis May Windless, Known as Fanny I believe. I think she was born in 1915. She had my father out of wedlock, He was born John William Windless. He was born 5th March 1938. He dosn't know who his father was, it's a big mystery! Fanny married a William Bendall not long after my Dad was born. William adopted my Dad. If you have any information on my Grandmother Please get in contact with me.
