trying to find any info on my husbands grandad, his name was john william albert clarke, we have been told he had lots of step brothers and sisters as his mother had been married a few times, but we dont have any of there names, as far as we know he was from sunderland, he was lost at sea when my mother in law was only 5 years old, 62 years ago approx 1942, he married mary elizabeth maddison [lizzie] and had children named willie,harry,john,betty,ellen,sheila,violet,iris, there was also a boy called robbie who died at 9 years old, they lived at hendon in sunderland, any info greatly appreciated |
