Trying to find Williams

Does anyone have a Williams that doesn't come from Wales? Mine are from Braintree and surrounding villages in Essex. Grandmother Lily Maud, b. 1893 had about 8 brothers and sisters, including the names Lizzie, Gertrude, Minnie, Elsie, Charles, James, etc. They lived in South Street, Braintree. Parents were James Williams and Sarah Thorogood. I know that there are two strong families of Williams in Braintree just prior to that time, with lots of similar names floating around, so it's been difficult to pinpoint who belongs to which family. I believe Sarah came from Pattiswick nearby. Haven't done a great deal of research on this "twig" of my "tree", but would be grateful for any help that can be offered.
