This is a list of her family in the 1881 census. They were living at 47 Townhead Street:- George Brown - Ochiltree, Ayr - 30/1/39 Janet Brown (nee Vallance) - Dalmellington - 31/5/33 Grace Bowman Brown - Paisley, Renfrew - 29/9/60 David Vallance Brown - Cumnock - 20/11/62 Elisabeth vallance Brown - Cumnock - 27/7/65 Janet Vallance Brown - Cum. - 17/10/67 Jane Brown - Cum. - 16/5/70 Isabella Brown - Cum. - 20/9/72 Georgina Brown - Cum. - circa 1875 I beleiev George's parents were a John Brown (c.1805) and Grace Bowman (c.1813) who married in 1834. Any information regarding these people would be greatly appreciated, I'm dying to get into the 1700s! Many Thanx |
