My name is Angela Massey. I am trying to find any members of my side of the "Gelsthorpe" dynasty in the Hucknall Torkard area of Nottingham. My Great-Grandmother was called Ann Jane Gelsthorpe and was born in 1895, her Father, I think, was called Fredrick Henry Gelsthorpe born about 1867. I believe that he was a coal miner working at the Hucknall Torkard colliery. I have found him on the 1881 census age 14 living on Spring Street, Hucknall his father was George born in 1839. Am I on the right root, so to speak?
