Trying to find Smith

My g g uncle left West Yorkshire around 1900 and went to Chile to work in the hope of a better standard of living for his family at that time, in the mines at Pochoco Delano, Coronel and also Lato Alto in the copper mines. I have gleaned this information from some letters which were sent to family in England between 1900 and 1905. Their names were Mary E b 1858 and John William Smith b 1856. Their children were Harry b 1880 Gilbert b 1882 Rupert, Sis, Rose b 1886 and possibly a Sophia. Gilbert married an English girl called Nesta, on the 5 Dec.1905 in Chile. I have no record of what happened to the family after 1905. Did they all settle in Chile? in which case there should be family still out there and how do I go about tracking them down? Did they or some of them return to England to other members of their family? If so is there anyone out there who might recognise them? I have almost given up on finding any more information about them. Please, please give me a glimmer of hope. June.
