by the way, a school friend of mine who lives close by here in Cardiff was married to a Mort from Swansea - think he was a chemist

Hello Swansea girl.
My name is Mort and all my ancesters came from Swansea. I can go back to 1730 and the name changed from Mordecai to Mort over a period of years from about 1800.
I have lived in Cardiff most of my life, but I still have relatives in Swansea
Is ths any use to you

Its great to find someone who is trying like myself to trace my family. My name is Teresa Ann Mort and I was born in 1963 in the suberb of Islington London. I was raised in Swansea until I was 12 years old. I have family somewhere in Swansea Wales. I to am new to Genes united and hope that this is the first step of many to find as many of my family as possible. If you are able to help I look forward to hearing from you. Thank You

I only found this site about 48 hours ago and am looking for whatever info anyone has and is willing to share on the Mort line. I'm especially interested in linking up with cousins who might have family stories and/or pictures that they would be willing to share.
