Member Since: September 2004 Posts: 4 Send Message	I am searching for William Arthur Williams born c 1817. Father William Alfred Williams, Mother Harreitt Waterman. William Arthur a mariner sailed to New zealand in 1841 with the New Zealand Company on the ship "Whitby"Had his leg broken on the journey out and did not return to England.He married Sarah Anne Franklin in1848 in Nelson N.Z. and they had 11? children George&William 1843 Henry Franklin !848,Alexander Waterman 1850, Fanny 1853, Emma 1855, Mary Anne Godsall 1858, Lucy Emily 1861, Robert Alfred 1863, Charles George 1866, stillborn 1869, ?Maria Henrietta 1870. Sarah died 1877 and William died 1906 both in Nelson N.Z. As B.D.M. certificates of that time did not require much information tracing this family back in England/Wales has proved difficult.Any help would be much appreciated and in return can give N.Z. info which I have.
