Hi all, can anyone help me to find the father of William Brown. His name was James, also known as Jimmy and his wife's name was Zilpha Nutter, also known as Doll or Dolly. His parents were married in the Blackburn District in 1918. They then emmigrated to Boston Massachucetts where William was born in 1927. William's father died when he was a baby(about only 4 months I think). William also had two sisters Agnes born c1925 in America, and Alice born in England. The family returned to England and lived in Padiham Lancashire,(I'm not sure if James died in America or England.) Zilpha was my grandfather's sister. I can remember them living on St Leonards Street at Padiham, but it is possible that prior to that they lived at Great Harwood near Blackburn. If anyone can help with any information not only would it add to my family tree, it would also enable William to obtain a passport and go on holiday abroad with his son. |
