William Morris, born 1815 in Blackrock,County Cork, Ireland, (his Father was also William Morris of the coastgaurds & his mother was Jemima) left his homeland in the mid to late 1830's obviosly at a time of Ireland's worst troubles. He left behind his mother Jemima and 4 sisters, Maria, Alice, Jemima and I think Ann. His father had already died before he left his homeland. He migrated to New Zealand where he made a good life for himself and where he made his family. I am a g,g,g,grand daughter of his and am very interested in contacting any decendants of his sisters as I would like to know more about his life in Ireland and about his parents WILLIAM & JEMIMA MORRIS. |
