Merry Christmas everyone. I am trying to find descendants of my grandmother's brothers and sisters to help me go backwards on her tree. My dad has never known any of his cousins or relatives on his mothers side and I suspect there must have been a family arguement at some point! My grandmother is HELEN GRANT nee TAYLOR, b.1899 in Aberdeen, Scotland, as eldest of children of William Taylor and Bessie (Betsy) Glen. We think she had 12 brothers and sisters. The ones I know of are: JESSIE TAYLOR b. 28/11/1900 @ Aberdeen. WILIAM TAYLOR b.15/12/1902 @ Aberdeen. and GEORGE TAYLOR b. details unknown but after 1902, who signed his mothers (Betsy Glen) death certificate in Bathgate in 1953. Please, if anyone knows them or any relatives, get in touch as my dad, who is 74, would love to know more about this side of his family. I've struggled going backwards with this branch of the family, as my great grandmother Betsy was illegitimate. I think I've found her family, but cannot verify and could do with some help from my unknown relatives in the family. Kind Regards Ellen. |
