Lorraine Blackwood nee Taylor Trying to trace glasgow grandparent details.Grandfather Alexander address 7 comely park place glasgow married 30 april 1920,no other details of birth/death. married Helen Semple Blackwood previously Cox maiden name Sawers,no birth/death details. As my married name is Blackwood I am naturally curious how my grandmother also had this surname prior to marrying my grandfather.I have had it confirmed that she was married before but i am assuming that Cox would have been her previous married name ,going by the details on my fathers birth certificate. Before I can proceed,I need to establish the correct name of my grandmother to set me on the correct path. As Blackwood not very common especially in Scotland,I am hoping this will be the way forward. Grateful for all help |
