Trying to find Redmond

Hi My Great Grandfather was John Redmond born in Stockport Ches. around 1840,married Alice Shorrocks ,I have traced them on the 1881 Census living in Ann Street Reddish having nine children by 1901.But cannot find any trace of them on the 1871 census nor any Marriage . He may have been in the Irish Gaurds and got married out of the country, I don't know where to look next, any surgestions or are there any Redmonds or Shorrocks family that can help. |
