Do you have a Violet Minnie Williams in your tree? She was my grandmother and died in 1963. I believe she was born in South Africa, her father was a hangmans assistant who ran away to S.Africa after an accident! She married William Henry Stride in 1893. They had 8 children CYRIL - WILLIAM - JOHN - PETER - DAVID - FRDERICK - VIOLET AND PHOEBE. IF YOU HAVE ANY RELIES WHO EMIGRATED TO S.A. BACK IN THE MID TO LATE 1800'S PLEASE CONTACT ME |
