Have you come across Ann Coates in your searching she may have come from Aston where my father was born in 1901/2 she appears on his birth certificate as mother, father not entered,but could have been William Chinn.

COATES OF BIRMINGHAM AREA - Are any of you descendents of John, Annie, Benjamin, Jane, Thomas or Martha. From Cencus 1881 living @ 6 Betholom Row or Census 1891 7 Wheeleys Lane, Birmingham? Ann Coates their mother was age 52 on te 1881 Census. John was my G.Grandfather and sometime moved south to London. Please all Coates family members out there I am desperate!
