I am trying to find any information on my grandfather's half brother, William Williamson Hall (k/a Willie) born 7. 3. 1872 in Newcastle upon Tyne. His father was William Hall and mother Mary Ann Williamson. His mother died in 1874 and his father remarried in 1882 to Elizabeth (?Lily) Davidson and they had 5 children, John, Elizabeth (Lily), Anthony (my grandfather), Mary Ellen (Manie) and Katherine (Kate). In 1896 Willie married Margerie Calbreath in Newcastle and a son, John Robert, was born later that year. Willie worked in the shipyards as a Rivetter and we think he may have moved to Scotland to live in the early 1900s but we don't know where. He was last known when he visited Newcastle in the mid-1920s when his half-brother John died. Any information would be appreciated to fill a gap in the family tree. Thanks. |
