Im trying to find infrormation about my great gran she was called Mary young born 1863 at Penshaw.Her parents were James Young and Alice Harper,she had brothers and sisters called Robert,Peter,James,Margaret,Elizabeth,Alice and Eleanor.Mary was a domestic servant supposebly at Alnwick Castle Northumberland,in 1887 she gave birth to my grandad his birth certificate names him James Alexander Reid Young,but he was addopted by her sister Elizabeth and her husband William Winter taking the name James Young Winter.Not long after he was addopted Mary seems to have dissapeared.Does anyone have any information please. |
