WILLIAM SMITH FATHER OF MARY SMITH HI I KNOW YOU ARE ALL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.SMITH IS A DIFFICULT NAME TO TRACE. WILLIAM SMITH BORN EARLY 1800 HAD A DAUGHTER MARY SMITH BORN ABOUT 1856,SHE SAYS ON HER 1881 CENSUS FORM THAT SHE CAME FROM JAMAICA,HOWEVER MY GRANDMOTHER SAYS SHE CAME FROM AMERICA.WE KNOW THAT SHE DIED IN WALES 1891.BUT BEFORE HER MARRIAGE TO WILLIAM NEWBERRY WE CANNOT FIND ANY TRACE OF HER IN THE USA,JAMAICA OR WALES.IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN THROW SOME LIGHT ON THE MYSTERIOUS MARY SMITH OR RHE WANDERING WILLIAM SMITH.
