I am trying to find members of my husbands family. His father was Geoffrey Young - born 1936/37, died in a Road Accident in 1964. He was married to my mother-in-law in May 1962 ( her maiden name was Marlene Jackson). Geoffrey's father was Stanley Young, who was dead at the time of the marriage ( and is listed on the marriage certificate as being a Petrol Salesman), and we believe that Geoffrey's mother had remarried and was known by the name of Newby. Geoffrey was living at the Rock Tavern in Kilnhurst at the time of his marriage, and we think in Conisbrough at the time of his death. He may also have lived at Morton Rd, Mexborough in the early 60's. We have been told that he had 2 brothers, 1 possibly called John, both of whom were living in the Mexborough area. My husband - Ian was born in 1962, and we have been told that his grandfather (?Newby) and an uncle used to have passing contact. We have hit a dead end with info from family, and any help would be useful. |
