I am looking for information re Elizabeth Jones b 10/11/1915 to Samuel Jones and Rachel Mary Jones (nee Harris) of 59 William St Ynyshir. Elizabeth was 'adopted' by her aunt Sarah Lewis and Samuel Lewis after her mother's death at an early age. This was Sarah's second marriage, her first having been to a man with a liking for a drink. Sarah may have run a pub for a while around Llantrisant, Llantwit Fardre, possibly the Red Gate or Red Bull which went broke. Elizabeth (Betty Jones/Lewis/Davies), my mother, had a brother John who was, I think, about 2 years younger. I can find nothing about her natural parents or her adopted parents beyond what I have stated above. Hope to hear from somebody soon. regards, Huw S Davies |
