(I've edited my original message -- I'd said I searched for BOLD when I meant BOLT.)

Do PM Kate about it all, though, as it does look like you two are connected, esp. if your Albert Bolt is the son of John Bolt in that 1881 household!

my grandfather Albert bolt was born in Sunderland in 1871, we understood he had relatives who came from Germany, and the surname was spelt BOLDT.
the spelling was changed later.
not sure if this is the same family?
