I am trying to trace information on my great-great-grandfather, HENRY GREEN (shown in later records as JOHN GREEN - so, John Henry, Henry John maybe?), who was born in Ireland. He and his wife (?) Elizabeth (formerly Thorndike) had at least one child, William, who was born at Partney, near Spilsby, Lincolnshire, on 1st February 1841. The family later moved to Louth, Lincolnshire.
William and his wife, Sarah Lingard, settled in Sarah's home town of Grimsby, Lincs, and had at least six children, spawning the greater Green family in Grimsby.
Any information would be most welcome.
