Trying to find Heydon

I am researching the HEYDON family tree and have reached the point where I have been unable to locate any record as to where my Great Great Grand Father William Heydon was born or how he came to Australia. His death certificate states his age as 68 years when he died in 1880 in Glen Innes. The place of birth from his death certificate states Dublin, Ireland, but on the birth certificate of one of his children, his birth place is Kildare, Ireland. He was married in New South Wales in July, 1848. Checking all available Shipping Records between 1800 to 1850 hasn’t revealed his name. I feel sure he didn’t swim all the way. All help/guidance/direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Terry
