John WIlliam Green I'm seeking any information about John William Green. He married Edith Oates in Darton near Barnsley in 1919, where his age is given as 35yrs. His occupation is given as 'miner' and there is no information about his father. Witnesses to the marriage were Ernest Oates (? Edith's brother and Harold Lightowler?). John and Edith had a daughter, Rachel 1n 1920 who died shortly afterwards. Another daughter in 1930, Norma was adopted after Edith died soon after giving birth. Any information as to possible place of birth, date of birth or what happened before or after Ediths death would be gratefully received. Thanks, Jo |
