Hi, I am trying to find the descendants of James Jones and his wife Elizabeth. James born c.1850 Bridgnorth area of Shropshire. Elizabeth was born Elizabeth Hargraves (1844 Handford, Staffs). James and Elizabeth married in 1877, Bridgnorth. James described as a widower, have no information regarding his first wife. Elizabeth also described as a widow, her previous husband was Joseph Bourne (children: Edwin (1860) Emma (1863) Catherine EDITH (1867) married Bert Duval) and Joseph Robert (1871). Elizabeth was an actress when she married James and after marriage they are believe to have travelled around the country with a travelling theatre. Their children are Amy Isabel (c1877 - Brigg, Lincs), Constance Maude (b1880 - Belper, Derbys), Blanche (c1881 -Clay Cross) and James (c1885 Nuneaton, Warks). Unable to locate Constance (my 2x great grandmother or her father in 1891 and by 1901, Constance married and living in Rotherham. Both James and Elizabeth appear to have died by 1901. 1901, James (junior) living in London with Edith Duval (Actress) and Amy and Blanche living Bristol with Joseph Robert Bourne (comedian), whose daughters were skipping rope dancers. Are you related to any branch of this family, either Jones or Bourne, I am eager to find descendants. |
