Trying to find info about a marriage between Charles Young and Emily Wheeler in 1914 in Liverpool. Charles and Emily are my paternal grandparents. Charles originated from somewhere around the Bath, Somerset area and was born at very end of 1872 to sometime 1873 as he was 64 when he died 16 November 1937 in Salford, Lancs(Now Greater Manchester). He was a journeyman slater and then a jobbing gardner. Jobbing gardner is on his death certificate. He is buried at Agecroft cemetery Salford. Charles came to Salford in the 1920s, bringing with him, my father, and my two aunts, Joanna and Ellen. As far as we can make out Emily was not with him. We don't know if she had died or if they were separated or divorced at this point. This marriage between a Charles Young and an Emily Wheeler at Liverpool in 1914 seems to be the only marriage with these two names in all the records. Anyone recognise any of these details? Help! |
