Member Since: December 2004 Posts: 0 Send Message	Hannah Jane Williams Hannah was the mother of Josiah Walter Williams, born 19th July 1864 in 60 Milton Street, Cardiff. There is no father's name on the birth certificate, but, on Josiah's marriage certificate his father's name is stated as John Williams a painter. Josiah's residence at the time of his marriage is stated as 3 Garnet Street, Cardiff. To date I have been unable to find any reference to Hannah or Josiah in the 1871 and 1881 census reports. However, the 1861 census identifies a family headed by Mary Williams living in Milton Street; unfortunately no house number is given. The census report is as follows: Mary Williams. Head. Widow. 57. Born: Nevern, Pembrokeshire. Mary A Williams. Dau. 19. Dressmaker. Born: Cardiff. Hannah Williams. Dau. 17. Born: Cardiff. Louisa Williams. Dau. 15. Born: Cardiff. John Williams. Head. Mar. 30. Stoker. Born: Nevern, Pembrokeshire. Charity V Williams. Wife. Mar. 23. Boot binder. Born: Davenport. John Williams. Son. Age: 1. Born: Davenport. Hannah was my great grandmother so I would appreciate contact with anyone who is able to help me with this conundrum. The Hannah born in Cardiff was the daughter of Benjamin Williams and Mary Williams formerly Bedman. Hannah was born 02/08/1843. Eric
