iam from south wales my father was william arthur tickner born 29 jan 1930 in carmathen in wales my grandfather is arthur tickner born 5 may 1893 in norbiton kingston surrey illigitimite son of maria spriggs maiden name tickner born 1868 st mary cray kent daughter of frederick tickner and esther tickner maiden name ogden :-)

I think there may be a link here, as the names you have mentioned and the areas are correct. You seem to have more details of middle names but frederick tickner was my great great grandfather.
