Carrs of Pontealand, Tyneside My grandparents William Roland & Ann Carr (nee Moran) (Ann was William's 2nd wife) had Brian Moran (Ann's first marriage) Neville Carr (deceased) Muriel Carr (my mother - deceaced) and Stan Carr (deceased) William was a miner, worked for the council and was also in the Merchant Navy. He had a twin sister who only lived for a few days. Ann was in service to a Lord & Lady in Darras Hall and to a Mr. Stokoe a headmaster. She also had twins who died a few days after birth, my mother had the twin gene, and passed it to me. Muriel was born about 1945, died 14.10.04. Lived in Whalton first, then 3 Kirkley Drive, Pontealand. Anyone can help, most grateful. Thanks in anticipation. |
