I am trying to trace the history of my Great Grandfather,who was born James Thomas Wilson on the 26th December 1878 in Deptford,London.At some point in the 1890's he switched his name around to Thomas James Wilson,which was henceforth what he was known as.He worked as a factory hand,general labourer and more specifically as a Printers Cutter. Following the death of his father in 1901 he moved to Bermondsey where he married my Great Grandmother,Henrietta Rose Cornwell in September 1902.They had four children including my Grandmother.However following the birth of the last child in 1909,Thomas appears to have deserted the family and was never seen again. Any information regarding what may have happened to him would be gratefully recieved.Thank you. Jonathan Clements. |
