My avatar is that of my Dad and shipmates, taken onboard HMS Blanche in 1938, place unknown From left to right, my Dad,Sidney Mellor and Sidney Bateman.

I do believe we share the same grandfather . Richard Samuel Pavier was my fathers father!!! I do believe that my father was born outside of wedlock
My father mother was named JUliet or Julie. My father was born in 1902 so Richard Samuel was obviously spreading his wild oats. Richard was seen in Shirebrook after 1922 Where he stood at the gate of the cemetery during the burial of Juliet, but vanished at the end of the service.

Mick Redfern trying to findout about my grand father, Richard Samuel Pavier, who married Ellen Mee in 1910 nottingham, he disappeared late 1922, it is rumered that he went abroard, but i not so sure, he some times only used one of his christian names, and some times swaped them round, he was from the nottingham area, i have searched 100 years at the records office but can't find his death. i have his birth and marrage certs. can anyone help. Mick
