Hi, I'm trying to find my paternal Grandfather John Victor Morris, b.c.1897 in South Wales (possibly the Rhondda Valley). He married Mary Fawell Tradewell 29/12/1920 at the Weslyan Methodist Church, Middle Street, Consett, Co. Durham. Witnesses at the ceremony were Alfred Nicholson, Blanche Brown and Nathan Fawell. In 1920 he was a coal miner, and Mary was a Headmistress. They both lived at 83, Sherburn Terrace, Consett (he was a lodger). In about 1930 John & Mary and their three sons, John Victor (my Father), Gwyn and Nathan, moved to 69, Hallam Street, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Mary died c.1968. Johns Father was named John Walker Morris. If anyone has any information at all about him , I would greatly appreciate them getting in touch. Thank you, Dave Morris. |
