G'day Jennifer
I am a decendant of Stephen's older sister, Mary Behan. Today I have found an article about the death of their father, James Behan as follows: The Brisbane Courier (Qld. : 1864 - 1933)
Tuesday 18 June 1878
A BUSHMAN, named James Behan, died at the Peak Downs Hospital on the 2nd instant, after being in the hospital four days. The history of the case, so far as we {P. D._ Telegram) can ascertain, is as follows :-The man, who is a stranger in the district, appeared to be about thirty-six years of age, and was tall, with dark hair and beard. On the 28th ultimo he was found lying ,by the side of the road about two miles from ' Mr. M'Kean's saw-mill, unable to walk, and speechless. He was brought to the mill, and as soon as possible on the following day was sent to the hospital. It is believed that his wife and family are residing at Mount Perry.

I am interested in your connection with the family.

Regards
Sue in Brisbane, Australia

I am trying to find James Stephen Behan/Beahen/Bahan/Behn/Beans/Bean/Behen. I am not sure of his Birthplace on 14 Dec 1869 but I think it is Crocodile Creek, Queensland, Australia that is now known as Bouldercomb. His mother is Margaret Hehir and Father is James Behan. Any information on James Stephen Behan would be gratefully appreciated as I have come to a dead stop with him.
