Found him on the 1881 - he gives his pob as Nantyglo, Monmouth. He's living in Escomb, Co. Durham with wife Hannah and children David J (6) and Margaret (4) |

I've only just found Griffiths' in my family. I have a John Griffiths b.1807 a sawyer, and he had a son John b.1833 and William b.1840. They lived in Tongwynlais, Cardiff. A puddler would have worked in a tinplate factory and most of my ancestors were connected with tinplate working - this may be nothing at all to do with you but thought it might help. |

Trying to find details of John Griffiths (born approx 1853). He married Hannah Harrison on December 28th 1874. They had several children, one of which was Thomas Griffiths Born 21 May 1884. I think that John came from Wales. He was a Puddler. His father was also John Griffiths (no details I'm afraid) and he was a Mason. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Chris |
