Trying to find any family connections to Mrs. Sheddon nee Miss Marjorie Chapman who was nurse to the children of the Princess Beatrice in the lifetime of Queen Victoria, by whom she was greatly esteemed. She was 80 years of age when she died in Aberdeen and her funeral took place in the home of her sister Mrs. Cruickshank, 12 Pitstruan Place, Aberdeen. Mrs. Sheddon belonged to Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. Marjorie was in receipt of a pension from the royal household. This information was found in an old newspaper clipping found in the effects of my late mother-in-law along with a letter from Osborne about the death of Prince Henry(George) postmarked 1896 to Drum Castle, Drumoak, Nr. Aberdeen to Mrs. Chapman ( Mary ? sister? or cousin?) My wife Liz was astonished when this was found, all news to her. We do have some signed Royal photographs of the period and now know from where they came. Any information on the family would be a great help.
